There are times when we just need a safe platform to reflect and figure out our own issues without delving into complex therapy work. Metaphoric Tarot Consultation can be a once off, self contained session, or it can be a series of sessions for coaching through changes.
How is metaphoric use of the Tarot different from a traditional Tarot reading?
The metaphoric approach uses the imagery and symbolism of the tarot to explore the unconscious mind and guide personal growth. This goes beyond the divinatory use of these cards.
Instead of seeking clarification from an external mysterious source, the metaphoric approach is humanistic, tapping into our own innate creative wisdom.
Is this a counselling/therapy service?
No. The use of Tarot as a metaphoric tool is not a replacement for professional counselling or psychotherapy. For therapy services please refer to the other sections of this website.

Please prepare a maximum of 2 questions for the session. This is to ensure there is sufficient depth and quality for the process.
The consultant will spend time to clarify and understand the questions, and will offer to reframe the questions for greater clarity
There are no rituals used other than the shuffling of cards which will be laid on a cloth
Consultant may facilitate some mindfulness activities to develop calm focus
Cards are drawn randomly for each question. A flexible reading approach is used by the consultant, often using 3 or more cards
Do expect to interact with the consultant as this is a collaborative co-creative approach and not a one-sided interpretation
You will be provided a typed out summary of the consultation after the session ends, usually within a week
The Tarot decks used will come mainly from the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition or the Tarot de Marseille tradition. All modern decks are a variation of these two Tarot systems.
Any requests for divination, fortune-telling, or psychic readings will not be accepted. For example:
Seeking predictions about the future
Checking in on other people's thoughts and feelings
Psychic reading into past lives
Asking for yes/no outcomes such as "will I get this job", "will she love me"
Traditional divinatory Tarot readings are unregulated in Singapore and most parts of the world. These guidelines are an assurance towards ensuring our client's well being and confidentiality.
